Obituary
Edcouch- Estela Valdez 65, went to be with the Lord Friday, June 10, 2022 at Knapp Medical Center in Weslaco. Estela was born July 27, 1956 to Basilio and Isidra Alonzo in McKinney, Texas. She is survived by her sons, Jerry (Giselle) Valdez and, Paul (Aurora) Valdez; daughters, Rosalinda (Tim) Cantu and Erica (Rolando) Loredo; stepchildren, Elizabeth Valdez, Daniel Valdez, Sandra Valdez and Maricela Valdez; 29 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brother, Daniel Leija; sister, Maria Alonzo. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ignacio Valdez; parents, Basilio and Isidra Alonzo.
Viewing will be Tuesday, June 14, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at Cardoza Funeral Home Chapel in Edcouch. As per her wishes she will be cremated at a later date. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Cardoza Funeral Home of Edcouch.
