Our mom loved to look after her kids when they were little. She loved us so much she always prayed for us, and anytime we went somewhere nos daba nuestra bendicion in the morning and at night. She loved sewing and knitting; she loved caring after her plants. My mom and dad were married through the Catholic Church for 74 years; they were shy of 75 years for about a week because our dad passed away. My mom was 93 years young when she died. She was born in a small town in Mexico called Peregrina de Arriba. She met my dad and married him when she was 16 years old. They had 12 children, 7 daughters and 5 sons; her 2 daughters Victoria and Elvira passed away when they were children. Our mom and dad also raised their grandson Michael, he has always been like a son to them. Our mom was our foundation of her family. She was a wonderful mother, she had great faith; not a person stopped by her house that she didn't give them something to eat and drink. She was a wonderful and kind person. She was also a great daughter, wonderful grandmother, sister, and aunt. Our mom used to go wash clothes in the Arroyo when we were kids in Mexico. My dad would help her take all the clothes to the Arroyo so she could wash them, and after she was done he would help her take them back home. At that point it was walking, no cars were available to them. Our mom enjoyed playing loteria with our dad and us. Also, our mom always wanted us to be eating, she would always ask us if we ate already. She enjoyed going to the flea market with our dad every Sunday for years. They also attended mass every Sunday. Our mom will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.
