Canuto Garza, Jr., 64, was born September 20, 1954. He passed away Monday, January 7, 2019 at Mission Regional Hospital following a brief illness. He was born and raised in La Villa, Texas where he resided. He dedicated 27 years of his life providing for his family as a gas attendant at the Hollon Oil Company gas station. He is survived by his wife, Lucinda Alvarado Garza; his children, Michell (Rogelio) Flores, Marianna (Rene) Reyna, Maricela Garza, Canuto (Sandra) Garza, Marissa (Gilbert) Vaiz, Carlos Garza, and Armando “AJ” (Jackie) Garza; his grandchildren Jose Javier Reyna, Alfredo Jose "Freddy" Reyna, Rene Javier “RJ” Reyna, Jr., Caitlyn Nicole Garza, Ramiro Vaiz, Emma Rose Pena, Diego Vaiz, and Sebastian Garza; and brother, Guadalupe Garza. He is preceded in death by his parents, Canuto and Patrocinia Garza; his brothers, Jose, Armando, Juan, Alfredo and Rogelio; and his sisters, Celia Gamez and Lydia Rodriguez.
Viewing will be held at Wednesday, January 9, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. and Thursday, January 10, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. at Cardoza Funeral Home Chapel. Rosary will be held both nights at 7:00 p.m.
Viewing will continue on Friday, January 11, 2019 from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. at St. Teresa of Infant Jesus Catholic Church in Edcouch, TX. Interment will follow at Anahuac Community Cemetery in Edcouch, Texas.
Pallbearers will be Rogelio Flores, Daniel Garza, Gabriel Gámez, Jr., Ricardo Garza, Jr., Guadalupe Garza, Jr., Samuel Garza, and Daniel Garza, Jr.
