Obituary

AMARILLO – Arnoldo Anselmo Alvarez, 65, passed away Monday, December 23, 2018 surrounded by his loved ones at home in Amarillo. He was born April 7, 1953 to Damian Alvarez and Rebecca Gonzalez in Elsa.

Arnoldo is survived by his wife, Anita Alvarez; father, Damian (Rosa) Alvarez; brothers, Jose A. (Diana) Alvarez, John (Olga) Alvarez, Dionicio (Margarita) Alvarez, Albert (Linda) Alvarez, and Peter Alvarez; sisters, Marta Guerra, Nora Loredo, Norma Cavazos, Diane A. Rodriguez, Dolores Alvarez, Maria (Arnulfo) Mora, and Alicia Alvarez; numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother, Rebecca Gonzalez, sister, Patricia Alvarez, and nephew, Jose Abel Alvarez, Jr.

Memorial Service will be held Sunday, January 12, 2020 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m.

Memorial Service will continue Monday, January 13, 2020 at 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. followed by Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Elsa. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco.
