CARDOZA Funeral Home is the First in the Rio Grande Valley to Broadcast Funerals on the Internet

CARDOZA Funeral Home, Edcouch Texas, is proud to announce that they are the first funeral home in the Rio Grande Valley to broadcast a funeral live on the Internet.

March 10, 2011: Alberto Garza had, for the past nine years, headed a school for at-risk students in Hartford Connecticut. Upon his death, many from the Hartford community were unable to make the trip to Edouch, TX for his funeral. At his wake on  March 10th, a group of Alberto's colleagues and friends were able to view services for him via the internet. This technology allows others to view funeral services when they are unable to physically be at the funeral home. Alberto's family was pleased that Cardoza Funeral Home was able to accommodate.

Visitors to the funeral home’s website’s new streaming video page will see be able to view the entire service live over the Internet.

CARDOZA Funeral Home will now offer this as a service to home-bound or distant relatives that can't attend services in person. The system that makes this possible is compatible with anyone's Internet connection. No software is needed to receive the program content. CARDOZA Funeral Home can limit access by passwords and families will have to give written permission to have any portion of the funeral service transmitted on the Internet.
